Return & Refund Policy

At Kitaab Nagar, customer satisfaction is our priority. We strive to deliver books in excellent condition. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, we are here to help. This policy aligns with the store’s stated approach that returns are accepted for eligible issues and books should generally be in original condition.

Eligible for Return

You may request a return or replacement if:

  • You received the wrong book.
  • The book arrived damaged during shipping.
  • The book has major printing or binding defects.
  • You received an incomplete order.

Please contact us within 3 days of receiving your order and provide:

  • Order number
  • Clear photos of the book and packaging
  • A brief description of the issue

Non-Returnable Items

Returns or refunds will not be accepted in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after purchase.
  • You ordered the wrong book by mistake.
  • Minor differences in cover design, edition, or printing that do not affect the content.
  • Books that have been used, written on, damaged by the customer, or are not in their original condition.

Replacement Policy

If your return request is approved, we will:

  • Send a replacement copy (subject to stock availability), or
  • Offer a refund if a replacement is unavailable.

Refund Policy

Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method where applicable.

  • Online Payments: Refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days after approval.
  • Cash on Delivery (COD): Refunds may be made via bank transfer or another mutually agreed method.

Shipping charges are generally non-refundable, except when the return is due to our mistake (wrong, damaged, or defective item).

Return Shipping

  • If the error is on our side (wrong or damaged product), Kitaab Nagar will bear the return or replacement shipping cost.
  • If the return is not due to our error, the customer will be responsible for return shipping charges.

Order Cancellation

  • Orders may be cancelled before they are dispatched.
  • Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled. In such cases, the Return & Refund Policy will apply.
